Believe it or not Switzerland has a number of “igloo villages” dotted all over the country in various ski resorts. Not only is it a fun experience but one that you can only take advantage of for a limited amount of time every year – when sufficient snow has fallen in the mountains.

Every season the igloos are built from 3,000 tons of snow – and they are eco-friendly too – CO2 neutral and sustainable! The igloos themselves are beautifully designed, made up of glistening snow crystals and as well as a bar you can have a fondue dinner in some of them too!
Igloo Villages in Switzerland In a Variety of Resorts
The Igloo-Villages open up their snow-doors in a number of areas in Switzerland, Germany and Austria – Davos, Gstaad, Stockhorn, Zugspitze, Zermatt and Kühtai in Austria. They offer a variety of different types of accommodation and you can book overnights stays and even buy vouchers to give as presents.
