Gocek, known in former times as Kalimce used to be a little fishing village. Today it is an international yachting center with six first-class marinas. Located between Fethiye and Dalyan it is just half an hour from Dalman airport with regular flights to many locations in Europe.
The area is steeped in history and according to legend it was from Gocek that Icarus took his flight and you if you look carefully in some of the small bays you can apparently see the Ancient ruins of Kalimce.
Surrounded by trees and forests Gocek is in a regional National Park under government protection. Renowned for its natural beauty Gocek town is surrounded by 12 islands which create a natural harbour.
Gocek also boasts two beach clubs, the D-Resort with its beautiful beach full of silver sand and the Upper Deck Club located on the opposite side of the Gocek accessible by the free water bus.
