Photos of Snow and Ice in Zurich (Part 1)

We’ve been experiencing a prolonged cold and snowy snap in Zurich and if you’ve been outside in the elements we hope you’ve managed to wrap up well and keep warm. It’s been freezing (and well below!) for a long time now and there has been a huge amount of snow – but you can’t deny how pretty it all looks!

Some ideas (with a Swiss twist) for coping with the excessive cold:
1) Have a “heisse Schoggi”
2) Drink a “Glühwein:
3) Eat a fondue

We’ve had lots of you emailing in your snowy photos from in and around Zurich and most recently some of you have emailed in some vey impresive “icy photos” too!

Take a look at these, starting with a snowy scene at Stadelhofen.

And a snowy bike in the old town.

And here are some “icy photos” from Kieran showing the Tobler river last year.

Some of the “greenery” has turned to “whitery”in another photo from Kieran.

And the snowy roads around Ebmatingen.

The good news is that the temperatures are set to rise over the coming days and we’re even predicted a sunny weekend – so enjoy the sun and the remaining snow. If you have any more “snowy” or “icy” photos please do email email them to us here and we’d love to share them.
