Fun at ICS International Festival and the Stilettolauf, Montagsmarkt Mercatino Rimini and Powerhouse Event at the Hub

According to many, we have had record-breaking amounts of rain this Spring in Switzerland and this Saturday was no exception. In fact it really did feel like “Rain Street” in many places. However, in true international spirit the ICS International Festival took place in Zumikon and didn’t allow rain to stop play. As well as a feast of amazing food and drink from all over the world, there was live music and entertainment, games, a flea market, chess games, a whole room full of second hand (mainly) English language books on sale and lots more. Plenty of fun for all the family and a day to remember! Here are some photos showing what went on.

The International Festival was not just about having fun, it was also a fund-raising event for the following charities: the Second Chance Education Center in Tanzania, the Arogya Agam Clinic in India and Round Square.

In addition, the Stilettolauf also took place on Saturday and despite the pouring rain, everyone joined together to support this worthy cause raising money to fight human trafficking. Colette Sol was supporting the charity with special orange stilettos and everyone taking part in the race had to run in heels of at least 7.5cm!  Here are some photos of the event:
