Nadja Schildknecht & Karl Spoerri unveil Zurich Film Festival Program

Nadja Schildknecht and Karl Spoerri the directors of the Zurich Film Festival, today unveiled the film program for the 9th Zurich Film Festival. They are expecting even more visitors to the festival this year and are planning to offer more industry events.

There are four categories for filmmakers to enter with the hope of wining the coveted prize of the “Golden Eye” at the awards ceremony on 5th October together with a prize of CHF 20,000. The film categories are: International Feature film,  International Documentary film,  German-Language Feature film as well as Germany, Austrian, Swiss Documentary film. For the first time there will also be a Golden Eye award for the best children’s film. See below the list of films in each of the four categories:

Zurich Film Festival 2013 Zurich Film Festival 2013Zurich Film Festival 2013Zurich Film Festival 2013Michael Haneke will be receiving the “Tribute to” award and there will be a retrospective in his honour and other star guests expected at the festival include Melissa Leo, Veronica Ferres, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Brühl, Alexandra Maria Lara, James McAvoy and Valeria Golino.
