The “Lucy” Christmas lights in Bahnhofstrasse really transform Zurich’s main shopping street into a beautifully photogenic quarter and they have proved popular in the photos you’ve sent us. The Singing Christmas Tree is not only a great tradition in Zurich but is also a wonderful event to capture. Of course Santa in his Märlitram, accompanied by his angels and young charges is just so cute! The shots of the river Limmat with the reflections on the water really bring out the magic of Zurich at Christmas time and the colours are truly beautiful. Don’t forget the Limmatschwimmen takes place this Thursday 19th – so that should provide another great photo opportunity!

Judging by the photos many of you are exploring Zurich’s Christmas Markets and indoor shopping centres but the beautiful shots of the snow in and around Zurich also demonstrate the wintry weather we’ve had here a couple of weeks or so ago. Who knows, maybe we’ll have a white Christmas again this year?
