Skiing – Lenzerheide Arosa Cable Car Goes Live!

There was fabulous news for skiers in 2014 when the long awaited cable car connection between Lenzerheide and Arosa finally went live! From now on it means that you can ski in both resorts thanks to the new Urdenbahn cable car connection which links the two ski areas. It also means that the combined resort is now the biggest ski resort in Graubünden with more than 225 km of pistes, 3 south facing hills and two valleys. The new Lenzerheide – Arosa resort is also in the “Top Ten” of all Ski Resorts in Switzerland.

It’s been talked about for 40 years and it’s taken an investment of CHF 50 Million and 9 months to construct. Each of the two Urdenbahn cable cars can accommodate 150 people and the journey from Lenzerheide to Arosa and vice versa takes just 5 minutes. Tickets cost CHF 69 for a day pass to ski in both areas and include public transport from Chur – Arosa and Chur – Lenzerheide – Tiefencastel.
