Ever heard of the “Hochhaus zur Bastei”? Well it is in fact Zurich’s first tower block and is located right in the centre of Zurich a few hundred metres from Paradeplatz.  Roughly translated it means “Bastion Tower, and from January through till August this 1950s building is acting as a “bastion of photography” in Zurich.

Described as “Zurich’s biggest photography art walk” there is plenty of space to roam round – in fact 7 floors, 1500 square metres and a total wall length of exhibiting space stretching 600m. Up to 50 exhibitions will be taking place at the same time here – so LOTS of photos to come and admire!

Described by Romano Zerbini, the brains behind the project, as “Neither a gallery, nor a museum, but a platform giving young photographers the possibility to exhibit their pictures at an affordable rate”, this exhibition is definitely worth a visit.

Full details of eligibility are on the website listed below. It all takes places at Bärengasse 29, 8001 Zürich and the exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon till 9pm.
