What’s On in Zurich Mid April Onwards

 Springtime in Zurich


Zurich has been luxuriating in warm, sunny Spring days from the beginning of April – let’s hope the sunshine continues. Here are some ideas on what to do in the run up to Easter and beyond.



Burning of the Boog Sechselaeuten 2013 ©NewInZurich







– Sechseläuten – Celebrate the end of Winter on Monday 28th April by watching the first burning of the Böögg since the refurbishment of Sechseläutenplatz in front of the Opera. International Arab Festival Zurich 2014


– The International Arab Film Festival – is taking place at the Filmpodium from 11th April – 5th May. For more information and to see the program please read here.


Photobastei Zurich


– Photobastei – Photobastei’s photo exhibition features new photographic talent from all over Switzerland (why not consider exhibiting your own?) and the exhibition continues until August. See the details here.


Cyclope in Winterthur


– Cyclope – is playing at Winterthur’s Halle 52 until the end of May. This is a new adaptation of Jean Tinguely’s work “Cyclope” and NewInZurich have another pair of double tickets for the production up for grabs! The draw will take place the first week of May and you can enter now – read here for details.


Zurich Tanzt 2014


– Zurich Tanzt 2014 – Zurich Tanzt is back in Zurich on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th May – so get your dancing shoes on and hit the town. There are events all over Zurich – take a look at the program here.


Von Matisse zum Blauen Reiter


– From Matisse to the Blue Rider – Worth making a trip to see this xpressionism exhibitibion at the Kunsthaus in Zurich until 11th May. See here for more details.


Vintage Design Exhibition at Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich
