Il Tavolo Food Festival Zurich June 25th – 29th 2014
Foodie fans will be pleased to know that Zurich’s luxury hotels will once again be celebrating their Il Tavolo Food Festival along with Gate Gourmet and Zurich’s Engrosmarket at the end of June.
The host hotels are the Baur au Lac, Eden au Lac, Park Hyatt Zurich, Storchen Zurich, The Dolder Grand and Widder Hotel and together they will be celebrating the biggest ‘tavolata’ in Switzerland. It will be one big food festival where top Swiss and international chefs demonstrate their culinary skills.
Il Tavolo starts on June 25th with an opening event at Zurich Airport with the following chefs:

Sebastian Diegmann, EDEN AU LAC
Oliver Fischer, GATE GOURMET SWITZERLAND GMBH
Frank Widmer PARK HYATT ZÜRICH & Chris Bell, THE GALGORM CASTLE

Gion Fetz, THE DOLDER GRAND
Dietmar Sawyere, WIDDER HOTEL
It then continues with fabulous food events every day culminating in a final family brunch on Sunday 29th June at an enormous 200m long table at the Engrosmarkt. NewInZurich went along to the brunch last year and not only was there a wonderful array of fabulous food and drinks, but there was also entertainment for the kids and an amazing atmosphere. A great ending to a fabulous week of wonderful food.
