Zurich Comedy Club Present Twelve Angry Jurors 12th May – 20th May

Twelve Angry Jurors by Reginald Rose will be performed by the English speaking theatre group ZCC at the Theater Im Seefeld on various dates from 12th – 23rd May. Tickets from CHF 29. To book your tickets or find out more please see here. 

Swimming in Zurich When the Sun comes out

there’s nothing nicer than swimming in one of the “Badi’s” or in the lake in Zurich once the sun comes out. Many of the swimming pools opened their doors for the season on 9th May. Here is a list of places you can go swimming in Zurich.

Visit the Paul Gauguin Exhibition at the Fondation Beyeler in Basel

on now until 18th June. Featuring a unique collection of 50 of Gauguin’s masterpieces this exhibition focuses on Gauguin’s time in Tahiti and the world famous painting he produced whilst there. See the website for details.

Afro Pfingsten 19th – 24th May

the Afro Pfingsten Festival is taking place in Winterthur from the 19th – 24th May and is definitely worth a visit. With reggae music, dancing, food and fun it’s a great event. You can book tickets here.

Zurich Street Food Festival 29th – 31st May

after the success of the last Street Food Festival at Puls 5, the next one is taking place at the Dolder Ice Rink on 29th – 31st May. If you missed the last one you really must come along this time! Best to take public transport though as parking is extremely limited. For more information see here.

Les Caves Ouvertes – wine tasting in Suisse Romande in May

Les Caves Ouvertes is the open cellar event in the Suisse Romande. As they have more wine producers the event is spread over more dates than in German speaking Switzerland. Read here to discover Malin’s top tips and the dates of her favourite “caves ouvertes”.

The Photo International Club Zurich Photo Laundry 30th May

if you love photography why not attend this novel event from 10am to 5pm on 30th May – a Photo Laundry! Any hobby photographer can go on the day and hang their photo on a washing line and exchange it for another photo. Free event! For more information please see here.

Festspiele Zurich: Money Power Love 12th June – 12th July

Money, Power, Love or “Geld, Macht, Liebe” in German is the theme of this yea’s ” Festspiele Zurich”. Focusing on the work of William Shakespeare it covers a range of cultural events – including theatre, opera, music, exhibitions and more. For further details please see the website.

Il Tavolo Food Festival in Zurich 24th – 28th June

Love great food? Then this is a festival for you! Top chefs including those from the Baur Au Lac, the Park Hyatt, the Storchen, the Dolder Grand and the Widder Hotel pit their wits to create special menus for Il Tavolo events which will be taking place all over Zurich  from 24th – 28th June. As well as menus at the featured hotels there will be a “Kitchenparty at Gate Gourmet”, and “Il Mercato” Lunch and Dinner menus and a Family Brunch at the Engros Market. Orange Openair Cinema becomes Salt Openair Cinema 16th July to 16th August

and the program for this year’s season is announced on 26th June with tickets being available for purchase from 3rd July. The Salt Openair Cinema Season runs from 16th July to 16th August.
