Zurich Openair 26th – 29th August
Zurich’s big open air Summer music festival has started and is taking place in Kloten, close to Zurich airport. There is a great line up and the event lasts until Saturday. For more information and to see who’s playing and learn about the new cashless method of payment see here.
Ballenberg Old Timer Tractor Event 29th – 30th August
why not take a trip down to Ballenberg on the 29th – 30th August to witness a unique display of over 200 Antique tractors and pieces of farm equipment. There will be vehicles from all eras on display, each telling it’s own story as a piece of Swiss agricultural history. For more information please visit the Ballenberg Openair website.
Street Parade 29th August
the annual street party will be taking place on Saturday 29th August in the centre of Zurich. It’s Europe’s largest outdoor electronic music party. Roads will be closed and the people of Zurich (and lots of visitors who come specifically for this extravaganza) will be letting their hair down and having fun. Super Kids Brunch Radio Day 30th August
take your kids along to a special radio day just for them at the Sheraton Four Points at Sihl City in Zurich on 30th August. There will be food, music, fun, face painting and lots more including a chance to speak live-on-air on the radio. See here for details.

Duck Race Zurich 6th September

Pink Ribbon Walk 6th September
the annual Pink Ribbon Walk in aid of breast cancer is taking place on Sunday 6th September. As well as the walk itself there are lots of stalls and exercise classes too starting at 12 noon and finishing at 5pm. For more information see here.
Knabenschiessen Zurich 13th – 15th September
this traditional Zurich festival of target shooting in Albisgütli is one of Zurich’s oldest festivals and takes place from 13th – 15th September. Originally only open to boys (hence the Knaben in the name) it is now open to both girls too. As well as the shooting there is a funfair and lots of food stalls. For more information see here.
