The Line Up for Art On Ice 2017

James Morrison

Art On Ice 2017 will be touring Switzerland in 2017 and from the 2nd – 5th February it will be taking place at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. It’s a real highlight in the Swiss event calendar and this year there is another great line up in store.

Daisuke Takahashi

Daisuke Takahashi

We are pleased to announce that Daisuke Takahashi will be back in Switzerland for the event. After a fabulous set of performances in 2015, he was very much missed by his fans and admirers in 2016 and it’s great to know that he will be back on the ice in Switzerland in 2017. In Japan Daisuke is famous not only for being the 2010 ice skating World Champion and Bronze medalist at the Vancouver Olympics but he is also an extremely popular pop star.

Stéphane Lambiel 

Stephane Lambiel

Swiss figure skater Stéphane Lambiel, hails from the Valais area of the country, and 2017 will be his 15th consecutive time appearing at Art On Ice. The two-time World Champion and Olympic silver medalist is always extremely popular.

Florent Amodio

Florent Amodio

Florent Amodio , the 2011 European Champion, is a fabulous entertainer and after taking the last year out from the event he will be back at Art on Ice for 2017.

Ksenia Stolbova & Fedor Klimov & Aljona Savchenko & Bruno Massot

The Art on Ice 2017 figure skating pairs will feature the following couples: Russian pair Ksenia Stolbova & Fedor Klimov who won Team Gold at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sotschi and silver in the pairs event,  and Aljona Savchenko & Bruno Massotbrought (above) who won silver in the 2016 European Championship in Bratislava and bronze at the Boston 2016 World Championships.

Meryl Davis & Charlie White the amazing ice dancers from America and the current Olympic gold medalists and two-time World Champions (2011 and 2013) are also back in Switzerland for Art On Ice 2017.

Sarah Meier Coming Back for Art on Ice 2017

After her retirement in 2015 Sarah Meier is coming back exclusively for Art on Ice 2017. The 2011 European Champion is particularly excited about the fact that James Morrison will be at this year’s event.


Silver medalist Ashley Wagner

25-year old US American Ashley Wagner, silver medalist and winner of Team Bronze at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, is making her first appearance at Art On Ice 2017 this year.

Liza Nugumanova

Liza Nugumanova

14 year old Liza Nugumanova will also be performing at Art On Ice 2017.

Chaka Khan

American Soul Funk Queen Chaka Khan from Chicago and a 10-time Grammy winner, will be performing at Art On Ice 2017. She joined the funk band Rufus in the 70’s and had her first hit song “Tell Me Something Good”, written by Stevie Wonder, in 1974. Her first solo hit “I’m Every Woman” was followed in 1983 by “Ain’t Nobody” with Rufus. In 1984 “I Feel for You” written by Prince, reached number three in the US pop charts and gave her a number one hit in the R&B charts around the world.

The guest star for Art on Ice 2017 is 31-year old Brit James Morrison. The singer-songwriter became an overnight success in 2006 following his achievement at the Brit Awards, resulting in sell-out concerts and sales of over 4.5 million albums. Hits like “Wonderful World”, “You Make It Real”, “Broken Strings” (with Nelly Furtado) and “You Give Me Something” have made him a household name.

Contortionist Nina Burri now replaced by Yevgeniya Obolonina

Swiss contortionist Nina Burri
Swiss contortionist Nina Burri from Berne, who reached fame in 2011 for her performances on “The Greatest Swiss Talents” show, was due to be taking part in Art On Ice 2017. However, Ukranian contortionist Yevgeniya Obolonina will be taking the place of Nina Burri who is unable to participate due to a neck injury. We wish Nina all the best for a speedy recovery and hope to see her agin soon and we look forward to welcoming Yevgeniya.

Art On Ice 2017 will be in Lausanne and Davos:
Lausanne, Patinoire de Malley – 7th and 8th February  2017
Davos, Vaillant Arena – 10th and 11th February 2017
