Blues’n’Jazz Rapperswil 29th June – 1st July

there’s a great selection of performers at this year’s Blues’n’Jazz taking place in Rapperswil. For more information on the programme and see the website here. 

Heartbeat Zurich Casa del Arte 30th June to 6th July

there is a week long exhibition of paintings and photography from various artists offering workshops and events to promote artistic understanding and learning. You can view and buy art work at the exhibition as well as meet the artists whilst raising funds for the Swiss charity Action from Switzerland. The vernissage and Apero kicks it all off from 7pm – 9.30pm on Friday 30th June, Vernissage Apero 19.00-21.30. For more information visit the Facebook site here.

Swiss Press Press Photo 17 Exhibition until 2nd July  

if you love photography you need to check out the Swiss Photo 17 exhibition on until 2nd July. It is being held at the Landesmuseum Zurich and there are lots of fantastic photos to view. For more information please see here.

Ice Cream and Sculptures at the Wassberg in Forch 2nd July

the Swiss Sculpture Exhibition – “Kunst am Wassberg” continues at the Hotel Wassberg until the end of September but on 2nd July the artists are coming together to view the exhibition over an ice cream. Why not join the event and meet the artists. From 2pm – 5pm. Entrance free. More information about the exhibition here.

The Seeüberquerung Zurich Wednesday 5th July

calling all swimmers! The annual swim across Lake Zurich from Mythenquai to Tiefenbrunnen takes place all being well on Wednesday 5th July and a final decision will be made on Monday 3rd July once conditions have been assessed. For competent swimmers only. More information here.

Live at Sunset at the Dolder 6th – 22nd July

the famous Live at Sunset concerts are back at the Dolder this year from the 6th – 22nd July. See the program here. 

Food Festival – Food Truck Special until 9th July

why not pop down to Hardturm to try the wares of around 70 food trucks which will be offering their delicious foodie goodies from 29th June to 2nd July. There will be spare ribs, pulled meat, dumplings tacos, strudel, waffles and lots more. Open Mon – Fri: 5pm – midnight,  Sat: 11am till midnight and Sun: 11am – 10pm on 2nd July July and till 6pm on 9th July.

Caliente Festival Zurich 7th – 9th July

over 300,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s Caliente Latin American Dance Festival which is taking place from 7th – 9th July at the Volkshaus, Helvetiaplatz in 8004 Zurich. Don’t miss out on the action! See the website here.

Sommernachstball Saturday 8th July

this is a wonderful event which takes place every year at Zurich Habuptbahnhof. Dress up if you want to or simply come as you are – but be prepared to dance the night away! From 8pm till 2am at Zurich main station. FREE! For more information see here.

if you haven’t been already, don’t miss the Macht Ferien exhibition of Swiss Tourism’s iconic posters celebrating the past 100 years. It finishes on 9th July. More information here.
