FOOD ZURICH 2017 From 7th – 17th September
once again the amazing foodie fest known as FOOD ZURICH will be taking place in the city – so check out all the events which will be taking place from 7th – 17th September. In fact there’s over 150 different things going on! Along with food tours, special dinners and tastings, there will be pop ups and lots of fun! Design Biennale Zurich 7th – 10th September
if you’re into design you must check out the Design Biennale event which is taking place across six locations in the city. Starting on 7th September and ending on 10th it’s sure to offer plenty of inspiration as well as arty things to see and do – they even have a guided walk. Photo 18 Fashion Showcase finishes 9th September
why not nip over to the Glattzentrum shopping centre and take a look at the photo fashion exhibition by leading Swiss fashion photographers which is free to view. In addition they will also be running live photo shoots which so the public can really see how fashion photos are taken. Find out more here.
TEDx Lugano 9th September
there is an impressive line up of speakers for the TEDx Lugano on 9th September and the theme is “Professions of the Future”. Zurich Salon Debate 14th September – What Is Time?
the next debate for Zurich Salon is takes place on 14th September and is all about the physical and philosophical nature of time. Professor Raymond Tallis, one of the UK’s leading intellectuals will be presenting his new book followed by a debate with scientists and philosophers from the University of Zurich and the CERN particle accelerator. the finals of the Swiss round of the San Pellegrino Young Chef Contest took place at the Restaurant Belvoirpark and Restaurant Sonnenberg on 4th September and the winner was David Wälti who now goes forward to the next heat in Milan. Knabenschiessen Half Day Holiday Monday 11th September
this coming Monday 11th September is a Half Day Holiday in Zurich for Knabenschiessen which is a series of shooting contests for children (originally just for the boys but now open to all) along with a great big funfair.
