The Zürichsee Slow Up Sunday 24th September

this is a fabulous activity open to everyone as they close the Seestrasse from Meilen to Schmerikon to cars from 9am till 6pm and you can bike, run walk, push a pram or whatever you fancy along the open road. Entrance is free and there are lots of refreshment stops along the way. For more information see here.

Zurich Film Festival 2017

Zurich Film Festival 28th September – 8th October

from September 28th till October 8th the 13th Zurich Film Festival will be screening some of the most recent films from all over the world. There will be 12 world premieres and a total of 160 exciting film with master talks, classes and lots more.  Tickets are available from Monday, September 18th at 12:00 noon. Cashmere Sales for a Good Cause 4th, 5th and 6th October

the charity Luxe4Education will be presenting a new collection of elegant and luxurious pieces for men and women – sweaters, cardigans, hoodies, ponchos, scarves and shawls, lots of accessories… as well as selected leather items and a fantastic line of socially-responsible jewellery. The sale will take place at Weid 13 in Zumikon on October 4th, 5th and 6th from  11am until 5pm, and on November 8th from 10am until 1pm in the offices of The Learning Center, Hallenstrasse 15 in Zurich, just behind the Opera house. WRITECON 2017 – Writing Workshop Zurich Saturday 11th November

Exploring Vevey from the Modern Times Hotel

we took a trip to Vevey the other week to see the Charlie Chaplin Museum, the NEST museum and a paddle boat ride to the beautiful Chateau de Chillon.  Staying at the centrally located Modern Times Hotel which is dedicated to Chaplin, we were able to visit all locations very easily.
