Some Top Tips for Tobogganing

Tobogganing is great fun for old and young alike. However, don’t be fooled into thinking that this is an easy sport just for young kids – those toboggans really fly down the mountains (!!!) – so do heed a few safety recommendations:

  1. Always start off on easy (less steep) slope to get to grips with the handling of the toboggan.
  2. Aim to control your speed so that you can easily stop or slow down if you need to.
  3. Always wear a helmet.
  4. Keep an eye out for the prevailing conditions.
  5. Adjust your speed depending on the incline of the slope and the number of people.
  6. Watch out for skiers and snowboarders!
