Skiing in Arosa Lenzerheide
Arosa and Lenzerheide Joined Together in 2014
Ever since the two Swiss Ski resorts of Lenzerheide and Arosa were finally linked together in 2014, a whole new ski area opened up. Just one and a half to two hours drive away from Zurich, there are several access points in Lenzerheide. We usually take the gondola at the Rothorn station and park in the nearby car park just a couple of minutes away. There is a ski shop right next to the Rothorn station in case you need to hire any kit.
Urdenbahn Gondola From Lenzerheide to Arosa
Once you have reached the slopes in Lenzerheide you can enjoy the beautiful ski arena there or take the large Urdenbahn gondola connection to Arosa. The Urdenbahn whisks you across the Urden valley from the Urdenfürggli in Lenzerheide to the Hörnli in Arosa (and vice versa) in just 5 minutes.
There are plenty of restaurants like the Hörnli Hütte Restaurant here where you can stop for lunch or to catch a little sun whilst taking in the stunning views.
There is a huge amount of skiing to enjoy. With 225 kilometres of groomed slopes, and a good deal of alpine charm, the resort of Arosa Lenzerheide has something for everyone.
There are plenty of children’s facilities for the little ones, snow parks for thrill seeking skiers and snowboarders, and perfectly-prepared ski slopes for all levels. It’s also good to know that Arosa boasts a record-breaking number of sunny days.
There are lots of special events and offers from night skiing, to full moon downhill evenings and Early Bird offers too.
