DREIKÖNIGSTAG 6th JANUARY: Don’t forget to buy the special “Dreikönigs” bread on 6th January. Available at all good bakeries and supermarkets. We especially like the one by Confiserie Honold which was voted one of Zurich’s best in a recent survey. If you find the special prize in your piece of bread you get to wear the crown and be king or queen of your household for a day! What an honour 🙂 Find out all about it here.

A NIGHT IN PROVENCE – A READING BY ZCC 7th JAN: The ZCC are hosting a reading entitled A Night In Provence by Robin Hawdon at St Andrew’s Community Centre, Promenadengasse 9, 8001 Zurich on Monday 7th January at 7.30pm. See details here.
THE SILVESTERKLAUSEN 12th JANUARY: If you missed the Silvesterklausen celebrations on 31st December you can see the second edition on 12th January. Find out all about this old Appenzell tradition here.
PHOTOBASTEI PUNK & BANKSY EXHIBITION 10th JAN- 3rd MAR: The Photobastei is holding a series of exhibitions from 10th January till 3rd March under the theme “Punk”. One of the exhibitions it all about Banksy the famous graffiti artist. Find out more (in German) here.
PHOTOWALK 19: Fancy joining a photo-walk through Zurich led by some well known Swiss photographers? It starts at 10.30 on Sunday 13th January from outside “Stage One” in Oerlikon. Take a look here for full details.
PHOTOSCHWEIZ 19: 10th – 14th JANUARY: The biggest photographic exhibition in Switzerland will be taking place in January at two locations in Zurich Oerlikon. As well as the exhibition there are talks and workshops too. Read all about it here!

LIGHT SCULPTURES IN EUROPAALLEE UNTIL 12TH JANUARY: The lights in Europaallee consist of an exhibition of beautiful sculptures. Why not pop over and take a look as they continue until 12th January. Find out more here.

WILDNIS PARK LANGNAU AM ALBIS: The Wildness Park at Langnau am Albis is open 365 days a year and is a great place to visit for all the family. They have a great selection of birds and animals to see and what’s more it’s free! Find out all about it here.

SKIING IN LENZERHEIDE – AROSA: Ever since the gondola was installed linking the ski resorts of Lenzerheide and Arosa a great ski opportunity was opened up offering 225km of prepared pistes. We visited the resort over Christmas so find out more about the resort here.

HUGH JACKMAN AT HALLENSTADION ZURICH 19th MAY: Heart throb Hugh Jackman is performing in Zurich on 19th May at the Hallenstadion for his World Tour “The Man. The Music. The Show.” Find out all about it here.
FÊTE DES VIGNERONS 2019: You may wonder why we’re posting about this wine event now as it takes place in Vevey in July and August 2019. However, the tickets went on sale in September and this very special event only takes place once every 25 years! If you’d like to find out more take a look here.
