Hot on the heels of the #Frauenstreik2019 which took place on Friday 14th June, there were more marches, more music and lots of celebrations in the centre of Zurich – this time for the Zurich Pride Festival.
As the sun shone, people marched through the city with pink balloons and coloured flags to a back drop of rainbow flags flying on buildings and bridges. 2019 represented 25 years since the very first Zurich Pride Festival took place and it’s also 50 years since the Stonewall riots of 1969.

This year’s motto was “strong in diversity” recognising all the achievements that the movement has gained to date due to many brave pioneers and supporters.
