Hope you’re keeping cool in the scorching Summer heat in Zurich! One of the best places to cool down has been the lake, the Badis and of course drinking plenty of fresh Zurich water from any of the 1200 water fountains in the city. Enjoy the weekend and have fun!

STARMUS V FESTIVAL 24th – 29th JUNE: This exciting festival combining science and music ends on Saturday 29th June. With astronauts who have been to the moon, legends such as Brian May from Queen (who also happens to be an astrophysicist), Brian Eno from Roxy music, Peter Gabriel, Rick Wakeman and more it has been a fabulous event. SUMMER OPENAIR CINEMA IN ZURICH HAS BEGUN: Yes, some of the Summer Open air Cinema programmes have already begun. The program for the big one, the Allianz, was announced on Wednesday and they started selling tickets from 28th June. Have you booked your seats yet?  Also, Bloom Openair at the Swiss National Museum opened on Wednesday too. Find out all about Zurich’s Open air cinemas here.

SOMMERFEST MUSEUM RIETBERG 29th & 30th JUNE: There’s a FREE Summer Festival in teh park surrounding Museum Rietberg this Saturday and Sunday. It’s a celebration of music, literature and art. In addition there are special activities for kids (from 2pm- 6pm costing CHF 10) and guided tours and exhibitions cost CHF 15. With Street Food and market stalls it will be a great weekend activity for all the family. Click here for more.

Pavilion Le Corbusier Zurich

PAVILLON LE CORBUSIER SEEFELD: The Pavillon Le Corbusier reopened in May following extensive refurbishment and is a unique place to visit. Also, every Sunday there are guided tours you can book. Find out more about this iconic building by the lake in Zurich.

KUNSTHAUS EXHIBITION: The Fly Me to the Moon Exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing continues until 30th June at the Kunsthaus Zurich. Find out more here.
