Photos of Street Parade Zurich 2019 –
Colours of Unity
The weather forecast for the Street Parade Festival had been for heavy rain, however, after a few showers in the morning the rain cleared up and the music turned up in volume.
People turned out to celebrate, to meet friends, to enjoy the music, to watch the “Love Mobiles” go by and to see and be seen. As usual there were costumes ranging from the stunning and the striking to the down right weird. However, it’s a fun light hearted event meant to celebrate peace, love, unity and tolerance.
Take a look at some of the great photos that photographer Geoff Pegler took here capturing the scene.
As the day wore on the sun began to come out and more and more people packed the streets (which were all closed to traffic in the centre of the city for the day).

A few more photos here from my phone too:
If you didn’t think you were colourful enough there were plenty of stalls along the roadside selling coloured hair, wigs, hats and more!
We hope you’ve enjoyed these photos and if you didn’t manage to make it this year, hopefully you will make it next year!
