Heureka – the sculpture in China Gardens Zurich was originally created by artist Jean Tinguely for the Swiss National Exhibition in Lausanne. However, in 1967 it was positioned at Zürichhorn near the lake in Zurich and has been their ever since, This large kinetic sculpture was Tinguely’s first public work. It is created from a mix of iron bars, steel wheels, metal pipes, wooden wheels as well as various electric motors.
