Mini EXPOVINA 2021 Wine Fair at Bürkliplatz Zurich
From 4th – 14thNovember 2021
Mini EXPVOVINA – Wine tasting on the MS Panta Rhei
One of the highlights of Autumn in Zurich has to be the Expovina wine fair at Bürkliplatz. However, due to the pandemic, this year again there will be a “Mini EXPOVINA” with just one Wine Boat instead of the usual 12 Wine Boats.
For the popular wine event, the “MS Panta Rhei” is the ship chosen to host the wine exhibition and fine wines from all over the world will be available to be tasted on board. There will be numerous events from November 4th to 14th November offering a wonderful insight into the world of wine for both connoisseurs and laypeople.
The boat will take you on a virtual wine journey around the world. You can taste the wines from Switzerland to Spain to Hungary to Israel to South Africa as well as from many other countries. Of course Swiss wines will also be featuring too – but see the website for each day’s agenda.
As well as tasting the wine you can also order wines on the boat to be delivered to you house after the event. With Christmas looming on the horizon it’s a great time to start stocking up.
To see which wines are being showcased on which days, please visit the website here. If you would like to attend you need to book your tickets in advance online for the appropriate event.
A valid Covid certificate is required to enter the boat (you need to have either been vaccinated, recovered, or recently tested) and you need to show a valid ID – with your Ausweis, passport or driver’s licence.
Mini EXPOVINA
When: 4th – 14th November 2021
Where: On the Panta Rhei, Bürkliplatz Harbour, Zurich
For more information and tickets please visit the website here.
NB: Please book your tickets in advance as there is a limit on the number of people on board & don’t forget your Covid Certificate.

I tried Clos d’Agon (D.O. Empordà, from Catalonia) at ExpoVina two years ago and I think it’s the best wine I’ve ever had!
Malbec!
I am spanish but I ask my german husband about spanish wines. Ribera del Duero ej. Hacienda de Monasterio, Pingus. Did you know these wines are made by a denish Person?
Mavrud red wine from Bulgaria
Ripasso, my favorite <3 – would love to win tickets, thx.
Vina Albina – a fantastic Rioja, especially the aged ones…
The Tenuta Asinara Indolente Rosso was a nice, reasonably priced wine that I discovered at Expovina 2014! Hoping to pick up some more this year :).
Definitely Meursault!
Syrah 🙂
I love Sancerre!
Pinot Noir is my favourite red. This event sounds great – perfect for trying lots of Swiss wine as I’m a Welshie!
Glühwein is my favourite. Perfect for these colder evenings 🙂
My favorites from Napa: white is a simple one from Caymus – Conundrum. My Napa red is Educated Guess. Recently found this Spanish red: Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC
Anything from Aigle.
I love Pint Noir!!
Hard for me to pick a favorite, as I always love to try new wines. The last wine I tried that I really, really liked was an Austrian white wine, Heideboden Weiss from Hannes Reeh vineyards.
Cheers!
