Chardon Garden Spritz
Chandon Garden Spritz is a delicious refreshing Summer drink. It’s a ready to serve sparkling wine with unique orange bitters handcrafted from local Argentinian oranges, herbs and spices. Pour it over a glass filled with lots of ice and add a fresh or dried slice of orange and a sprig of rosemary. All you need is a bottle of Chandon Garden Spritz, ice cubes and a slice of orange and rosemary,
White Port with Tonic
White port is a sophisticated but refreshing drink which is quite new in Switzerland – why not try it out? It’s an ideal Summer cocktail.
3 parts Tonic
1 part Graham’s fine white port
1 Wedge of Lemon or Lime – optional sprig of mint
Place a few ice cubes in a tumbler and add Graham’s white port, the tonic and give it a stir before adding a slice of lemon and sprig of mint..
Fabulously orange in colour Apérol oozes Summer and at the same time it’s refreshing and thirst quenching with a slightly bitter hint.
3 parts Prosecco
2 parts Apérol
1 part soda/ sparkling water
Place ice cubes in glass. Add the Aperol, soda and add an orange slice
The Hugo seems to have become somewhat of a staple in Zurich and the elderflower makes it light, delicate and refreshing. To make the the perfect Hugo you need:
3cl elderflower syrup
2cl sparkling water
Mint leaves and slices of lime to decorate
A true Summer classic – or is that just British bias? The Wimbledon drink with its dark rich colour, fruity content and refreshing taste. So how do you make the perfect Pimms?
1 part Pimm’s and 3 parts lemonade
Lots of ice cubes 1 slice each of orange and lemon, 2 slices cucumber, 1 strawberry sliced and a sprig of mint
Fill a glass 1/2 full of ice & pour in the Pimm’s. Add fruit and some more ice. Top with lemonade, stir and serve.
A French Classic and not so much a Summer drink as an anytime drink. On a recent trip to France everyone was drinking this before dinner. It’s extremely easy to make:
Place 1 – 2 tablespoons of crème de cassis in a flute glass and fill to the top with chilled sparkling wine or champagne. Et voilà!
