Cully Jazz Festival

I’ve just been to the Cully Jazz Festival for the first time – and I had so much fun. Situated on the northern shores of Lake Geneva, in the heart of the Lavaux wine region, the picturesque village of Cully is transformed every spring into a buzzing hub of music, energy, and creativity.

At the festival I had the chance to see Peet live – a performance that was really great – but in addition to the headline acts I discovered several of the free concerts scattered throughout the village – and some of them were really good. You could wander from one cobbled street to the next and discover local and international musicians playing in wine cellars, on street corners, and in tiny pop-up venues.

There’s something incredibly special about the Cully Jazz festival. A lakeside setting – a charming village surrounded by vineyards and views across the lake to the snow-dusted Alps. The relaxed lakeside vibe, where you can sip wine on a terrace, or grab a glass of Docteur Gabs’ locally produced beer or cider, and listen to live music as you watch the sun set over the water is quite magical. Cully Jazz manages to feel intimate and unpretentious while offering a very interesting and diverse musical programme.
So if you haven’t visited this music festival yet, it’s definitely worth adding to your spring calendar! It’s on now till 12th April!
