SWISSARTEXPO Zurich 2026 takes place at Zurich Main Station from 2nd–6th September 2026, and the great news is that this contemporary art exhibition is completely FREE to visit! Taking place in the impressive Wannerhalle at Zurich HB, the festival brings together artists from Switzerland and around the world, with original artworks, digital art and a varied programme of special events. It’s one of the easiest free art events in Zurich to visit – you can simply drop in while passing through the station.

The exhibitor is Marianna Carruzzo-Dünnenberger from Switzerland
The exhibition is organized by the Swiss start-up ARTBOX.GROUPS GmbH. They were founded in 2016 by the “chainsaw artist” Patricia Zenklusen and her family and the focus is on showcasing the art of young and up and coming artists.
SWISSARTEXPO is unique in Switzerland for combining classical art with new technology such as virtual reality and as Patricia Zenklusen explains: “In today’s digitized world in particular, we consider it essential that artists do not remain tied to traditional forms of exhibition. The digital world, be it the Internet, digital presentations or virtual reality, offers various possibilities and opportunities from which the artists should definitely benefit ”.

SWISSARTEXPO is particularly unusual because it takes place right in the heart of Zurich Main Station, in the historic Wannerhalle beneath Niki de Saint Phalle’s famous L’ange protecteur. The exhibition combines original contemporary artworks with digital presentations, making it an easy and completely free cultural experience to add to a day in Zurich.
