A Staycation at Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle
*** With Personal Shopping Experience at Jelmoli ***
Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle
The newly opened Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle is now offering a very special “Staycation Package” which includes a Personal Shopping Experience at Jelmoli. It is designed to appeal to those who need a change of scene, want to recharge their batteries and enjoy delicious food prepared for them whilst they relax in a luxurious atmosphere.
Staycation Offer & Jelmoli Personal Shopping Experience
The Staycation Package includes a signature drink at Bar Iris, breakfast at Restaurant Babel as well as 20% off all food & beverage at the restaurant. In addition it incorporates a 2 – 3 hours one to one shopping experience with a personal shopper at Jelmoli department store at the Circle with 15% off all* Jelmoli products purchased on the day of the personal shopping experience. (*except for Stone Island products). We were recently invited to test it out and had a wonderful time staycationing in our own city!
Located at the Circle at Zurich Airport
The Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport is located in the Circle at Zurich Airport. It is modern stylish and above all comfortable and is located literally right in front of Zurich airport. It is connected by an underpass so that you don’t need to get wet on rainy days and is very close to a beautiful nature reserve where you can take the little funicular and walk around and enjoy nature. It also offers direct access to The Circle Convention Center which has over 2,800 sqm of event space.
Get to Zurich in As Little As 9 Minutes
On the airport side there is a tram stop which will take you directly to the city centre in around 40 minutes or so but if you take the train from the airport you can be at the main station in as little as 9 minutes!
Great Design with Plenty of Space
On the outside the hotel is very modern with lots of glass and inside it is stylish, airy, spacious and calming. There is plenty of comfortable seating to read, relax with family and friends or to simply work or chill. The tones of nature are reflected in the interior design which uses lots of natural wood and stone which makes it particularly restful.
Some of the interesting design features include this stunning bell in the lobby called “Bing Bang”. It is a work of art by Swiss artist Etienne Krahenbühl and is a real centrepiece made out of wood.
The Rooms and Suites
The hotel features 255 well-appointed and spacious guest room of which there are 18 Suites in total – 16 Executive Suites, one Ambassador Suite and one Presidential Suite. The Swiss-inspired design boasts large floor to ceiling windows, wooden floors, beautiful granite tops in the bathrooms with large mirrors and a nice clean look. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of sockets, good wifi, a flatscreen TV with Staycast, a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.
What I particularly liked was that there is plenty of natural daylight throughout the hotel including the bedrooms. If you’re lucky enough to have a room overlooking the park you also get beautiful views of the nature reserve. If you’re an early riser do check the sunrises too (see photo below) – as they can be quite magnificent!
Shopping With A Jelmoli Personal Stylist
The Shopping Experience with a Personal Stylist was one of the highlights of my stay!
After walking the 2 minutes from the Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle across to Jelmoli, I met store manager Sheraz Asif, who introduced me to Silva my personal stylist for the next couple of hours.
Personal Stylist Silva with Jelmoli Store Manager Sheraz Asif
Silva had prepared a collection of outfits as well as bags and shoes and other accessories for me. So after showing me what he had chosen we went for a walk around the store to see if there were any other looks which caught my eye to add to the collection. Jelmoli has everything so well laid out by brands, and by colour and theme – so it was fun checking out the latest styles.
After adding a couple more pieces it was time to try them all on. It really was such a fun experience! Silva has a knack of knowing what works with what and suggesting accessories in contrasting fabrics or tones to create a “look”. He was also quite honest in pointing out what didn’t work too – which is probably even more important!
It was a great experience and I really can recommend it. In addition to the Personal Shopping there were wonderful refreshments laid on – canapés and macaroons – and orange juice and water – or even prosecco if you fancied! Also, if you purchase anything on the day of the personal shopping experience you get 15% discount off all Jelmoli products at the Circle (excluding Stone Island products).
Cocktails And Drinks at Bar Iris
One thing I really recommend is going for a cocktail or drink at “Bar Iris”. Opulently decorated in shades of dark blue iris, the bar is stunning. The first photos is a close up of the beautiful bar countertop.
There’s lots of comfortable seating where you can settle down and enjoy your drink and there is even a little “outdoor” terrace. We enjoyed our drinks on the terrace which overlooks the tree in the centre of the Circle. Although in the open air, it is protected from the rain by a the “glass ceiling” above, which makes it very comfortable.
Rinald who served us, was super friendly helpfully explaining each of the drinks to us – and he can whizz up a fabulous cocktail in no time at all!
Dining In Restaurant Babel
The hotel’s Restaurant Babel offers a variety of fabulous food with the emphasis on Middle Eastern cuisine. We had a wonderful dinner with steak and lamb cooked to perfection, alongside some fantastic oriental side dishes. I particularly liked the aubergine side which was amazing – but it was all so tasty and delicious with great flavours.
The portions are quite big so after having mezze starters and our mains we didn’t quite leave enough room for dessert – hopefully next time! We did, however, drink some local Swiss wine from Lake Zurich to complete the “Zurich Staycation” theme!
We also had a lovely breakfast in Restaurant Babel and it was great to discover that the Middle Eastern theme was also present in the breakfast menu, alongside more traditional Swiss and international breakfast fare. The service both at dinner and in the evening was friendly and welcoming.
Work Out in the State of The Art Gym
If you’ve over-indulged in the food department and are in need of a workout, the hotel’s state of the art gym has a pretty impressive repertoire of equipment and free weights. They also have a separate male and female sauna and relaxation room and a yoga room too. The little roof top gym terrace is planted with a meadow of flowers and overlooks the nature reserve. What’s more, the gym is open 24 hours a day. (At the moment due to Covid regulations you need to book your slot – but you can easily do this with reception).
So forget rushing about getting PCR tests and dashing to catch your flight, why not chill, relax and enjoy a Staycation with benefits, at the Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport the Circle?
