Club Med Tignes France: Top Quality All Inclusive Ski Fun
An All Inclusive Ski Holiday Perfect For Non Skiers Too
Looking for a Winter break in the mountains which offers great skiing, but lots more? Maybe you have non skiers in your party and you want them to have a brilliant holiday too? One place you really should consider is the brand new Club Med in Tignes, in the French Alps.
Tignes – One of The Most Snow Sure Ski Resorts in Europe
As well as offering excellent skiing in Tignes, one of the most “snow sure” resorts in Europe, there is so much more to do! Club Med has been in Tignes since 1958, but in December 2022, they opened a new 4 Trident Resort with a special ” Exclusive Collection Space”, and I was lucky enough to try it out at the end of November, early December, just before the official opening.
Club Med Tignes is located directly on the Ski Slopes with in out ski access

Club Med Tignes Located in Val Claret at 2100m
Located in the Tignes Val Claret village, at 2100m altitude facing the Grande Motte glacier, this resort is ideal for singles, couples, groups and families. For skiers it offers the coveted “ski in, ski out” access but there is much more to it than that!
La Grande Motte Slopes
There are activities for all from a wellness area with saunas and steam, a spa, a fully equipped gym, a spinning studio, yoga lessons and back stretching designed by Heberson Oliveira, snow shoeing, winter hiking and lots, lots more.

There’s even a Kid’s Club included for busy families (catering from ages 2 to 17!)which offers the youngster lots of fun snow and non snow activities. Then there is the food – which is fabulous and there is so much choice on offer.
There’s something for everyone to fresh salads to pizzas to haute cuisine!
The beauty of it all is that it is an upmarket all inclusive – so everything is included* (*see full details listed below), including the ski pass! Simply perfect to relax and unwind. And if you still have some energy left, there is an amazing selection of diverse entertainment with live music every night!
Interior Design and Décor With Emphasis on The Environment
Club Med Tignes Interior Design by Jean Philippe Nuel
The interior design and décor for Club Med Tignes was all undertaken by French architect and interior designer Jean Philippe Nuel. He drew his inspiration from the surrounding nature and the mountains. There’s lots of local stone and larch wood and large windows so that from your room you can view the mountains and the landscape. In fact the bedrooms are designed to maximise the use of the space and as well as a shower there is a bathtub too!
Sustainability and environmentally friendly design was a core concept throughout.
However, there is lots of colour too with bright paintings and art work throughout the hotel.
The hotel is equipped with solar panels which have been skilfully integrated into the design and all the materials have been chosen to be as “eco-friendly” as possible. Although the hotel has 430 rooms it never feels busy as there is plenty of space to chill and relax. In addition to the spa and wellness area there are two restaurants and a bar. There is lots of bright colourful seating.
Club Med – A Hassle Free Concept
The “all inclusive” philosophy behind Club Med was originally devised by Gilbert Trigano and Gérard Blitz in the 1950s. Over the years the concept has become more upmarket and luxury but the idea that your holiday is hassle free remains true now more than ever. For a ski holiday, having all your ski kit waiting for you in your locker when you arrive, your ski pass and insurance organised and even the lock to your ski locker is opened by the bracelet on your wrist – this makes such a difference. Almost everything* is included in your holiday and all you need to do is relax and enjoy! 🙂
Club Med Tignes: So Much For Non Skiers To Do
Swimming, Wellness, Spa, Snow Shoeing, Glacier Hiking
At many ski hotels, if you don’t ski there is not much to do. However, at Club Med Tignes there is a huge range of non-ski activities. There is an extensive wellness area, which boasts the largest indoor swimming pool in the alps no less, (and where you can do 25m lengths).
In addition, there is also a selection of saunas and a hammam as well as comfortable day beds where you can simply relax and chill. The group exercise lessons are of the highest quality and simply excellent! I really enjoyed the yoga classes which were all designed by Heberson Oliveira – seen below with Club Med instructor, Emma.
Sothys Spa at Club Med Tignes
The Sothys Spa offers a range of treatments and I had a relaxing back massage as soon as I arrived which was really great. You can hire snow shoes from the ski room on the ground floor and enjoy a snowshoeing hike in the mountains and if you’re feeling adventurous you can even sign up for excursions such as climbing into a glacier.
Glacier Climbing – An Additional Excursion Which Can be Booked
This last one is an extra excursion which you can organise at additional cost, however, for the thrill seekers amongst you I can highly recommend it!

A Club Med Holiday Re-Invigorates and Relaxes
After spending four days at Club Med Tignes I can truly say that a holiday there not only reinvigorates your whole body but relaxes you too! What did I like best? Just so hard to say! I loved the skiing (in groups where you are taken by a Club Med ski guide according to your own ability) and the fact that once you opened the door from the ski room you were on the slopes. I loved relaxing in the pool area and going to the spa and the yoga lessons. I really enjoyed the delicious selection of food and drinks which were all included (only certain branded drinks are extra) and I adored the dancing and entertainment in the evening. Maybe most of all, I just loved how easy it all was. Once you have your Club Med bracelet on, you simply relax and enjoy!
