Art On Ice 2018 – Zurich – Lausanne – Davos
The Original
Art On Ice will be back for 2018 beginning in Zurich from 1st – 4th March, followed by Lausanne from 6th – 7th March and ending in Davos on 9th March. This year’s production is called the “The Original” and the theme is all about art, inspired by the story of the German artist and counterfeiter Wolfgang Beltracchi. After being imprisoned for six years, Beltracchi has gone back to painting but now paints his own original works and signs his paintings with his own name. The backdrops for this year’s Art On Ice production will be paintings by Beltracchi.
Once again a fabulous line up is in store (though we are sad to be missing Daisuke this year) with stars of the stage and the figure skating world coming together to create a show full of entertainment and excitement.
Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot who won gold in the world record freestyle in Pyeongchang will be flying straight from South Korea to attend Art On Ice in Zurich. Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov will be making a welcome return and of course, the Swiss favourite, Stéphane Lambiel (seen below) will also be present.
It will be a sad moment as Evgeni Plushenko (below), takes to Art On Ice in Switzerland for the last time. The talented skater who won two gold and two silver medals at the Olympics and was world champion three times is making his final appearance at the show this year.
British singer and songwriter Emeli Sandé (below) will be entertaining us with her songs along with the popular Swiss band Pegasus.
