Beginning the 19th January there is a fabulous new exhibition at the Landesmuseum in Zurich all about the Montreux Jazz Festival. Charting its rise over the past 50 years via soundtracks, memorabilia and lots of posters, clothes and other music-related artifacts, the exhibition is fun engaging and a real eye opener.
The bold posters are dotted around the walls and show the evolving styles over the years.
There is plenty to discover about the history of this now famous international music event which attracts artists from all over the world to the small town of Montreux.
The images are bold and vibrant and it there is a diverse range of souvenirs as well as pieces of equipment dating back to the era of 1967 when it all began as Claude Nobs’ great idea.
