New Year Marathon – NeuJahr Marathon Zurich
Did you take part in this year’s New Year Marathon in Zurich?
Yes, no joke – instead of partying in Zurich you can take part in a marathon through the city on New Year’s evening and into New Year’s Day. This year marked the 12th time it has taken place and it started on the very first second of 2016 with perfect running conditions. A record 979 runners took part from 47 different countries. There was also a children’s event which took place earlier on in the evening too. So if you’re looking for something different to do next year, why not give it a go?

Men’s Half Marathon:

Women’s Half Marathon Women:
1. Odile Rein Switzerand 1:31:16
Men’s Quarter Marathon:
1. Pierre Fournier Switzerland 36:16
Women’s Quarter Marathon:
1. Lina-Kristin Schink Germany 42:19
