When you first arrive in Zurich and want to hit the slopes you need to find somewhere reliable to find all the items you need. Getting ski kit for the whole family can be a trying experience. I’ve done it and know how frustrating it can be. However, Time Out in Uster are experts at making this process as painless as possible.
Not only do all their staff speak English (and are incredibly friendly and helpful) – definitely no surly faces here 🙂 – but they actually turn the whole experience into a fun event. And offer lots of discounts on their open day too! There is a 20% discount on retail products on the day and children aged 4 – 14 get a free t-shirt for a pin on the Time Out pin board.
Their “Season Opening” Event takes please at their spacious premises in Uster (with car parking spaces right outside) on Saturday 2nd November from 9am – 5pm. As well as their expert team of professionals there to guide you through the maze of what you need and what you don’t, what to rent and what to buy, they also have an action-packed day of events. There will be games and entertainment as well as food, drinks and snacks and lots more.
All you need now is the snow 🙂

Timely Reminder – Winter Tyres
Whilst you’re reading this, don’t forget that now is the time to change your types from Summer to Winter. It’s a good idea if you can to book ahead with your garage in advance as they tend to get very booked up. Alternatively you could change your tyres yourself.
Tip: Always mark your tyres in chalk with your name or initials in order to make sure there are no mix ups when you come to get your tyres back in the Spring!
