The co-founder of Swissair was also a pilot and a Swiss entrepreneur. He was a photographer, and author and and all round media star. Born in St. Gallen, Walter Mittelholzer was a multi talented man and was happy to try his hand at many things.
A savvy businessman, with lots of self-confidence, he was in many ways a head of his time.

He wrote books, produced films and documentaries and his landscape photography was amazing. From 20th July to 7th October you have the opportunity to view some of his work at a special collection at the Swiss National Museum, the Landesmuseum.
