10 Minute Chocolate Pots
This chocolate dessert recipe is the ideal dish to make when you haven’t much time but want to something chocolatey and delicious. It was given me by Gisèle whilst staying at the Montreux Palace Hotel and is one of the easiest recipes, as it literally takes about 10 minutes. If you are serving the dessert in individual pots, they also set much quicker than a large dish and should be ready within about 2 hours.
Ingredients – Serves 6
100 ml full cream
150 ml milk
250 g dark chocolate (70%) broken into squares
80 ml olive oil (a mild one is best)
20 ml Grand Marnier
Method
- Pour the milk, cream and Grand Marnier into a saucepan and bring to boiling point.
- Remove it from the heat immediately, then add the chocolate and let it melt, then stir it all together gently.
- Stir in the olive oil gently.
- Pour into a large dish or individual serving glasses or pots and leave uncovered in the fridge for 3 – 4 hours until it is set.
- Serve with cream and raspberries or simply on its own.
