Best Hot Chocolate

The Prefect Swiss Hot Chocolate

 Serves 4 people:
8 decilitres (just under 2 pints) of whole milk (not skimmed or semi skimmed!)
1 stick of cinnamon (optional)
120 g (approx) best quality Swiss dark chocolate, finely chopped (see stockists below for pre-chopped quality chocolate which comes in packs)
Sugar to taste (optional)
Topping (optional):
4 tablespoons whipped cream (or you can use spray)
Chocolate curls and / or chocolate powder

Method:

1. Pour the milk (add cinnamon if using) into a pan and bring just to the boil.

2. Take off the heat and remove the cinnamon stick. Pour the hot chocolate milk carefully into 4 tall glasses or mugs and stir in the chocolate until it has dissolved. Add sugar if required to taste.

3. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate curls and / or chocolate powder. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
