Recipe for Strawberry, Nut And Spinach Salad
A delicious, light fresh salad which takes less than 15 minutes to make.
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
50 g walnuts
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons. olive oil
250 g strawberries
300 g baby spinach
Method
- In a frying pan, toast the walnuts shaking frequently and leave to cool.
- Wash the spinach and drain well.
- Wash, hull and quarter the strawberries.
- Place the balsamic vinegar, mustard, oil, salt and pepper in a glass jar or bowl and mix well to make the dressing.
Options To Adapt This Recipe
The recipe is vegan, however, if you prefer you can add the following ingredients to ring the changes:
- chopped feta cheese
- slices of hard boiled egg
- a few slices of crispy bacon
- toasted pine nuts
