Delicious Brunch at Confiserie Honold Herrliberg
Last Sunday we went for brunch at Confiserie Honold in Herrliberg. Honold has six locations in Zurich and the Herrliberg branch is situated a 15 minute train ride from Zurich’s Stadelhofen station, followed by a 10 minute walk to the centre of this picturesque little village. Of course you can easily drive from Zurich too and there is parking right outside.
The shop is surrounded by cobblestones and there is seating both outside and inside. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the last vestiges of the Summer sunshine and chose the classic brunch option which consists of an étagère with a delightful selection of goodies.
The top layer of the étagère had fresh fruit, followed by a variety of cheese and dried fruits and then a selection of cold meats, gherkin and hard boiled egg. It was all delicious and the freshly baked breads were wonderful!
In addition you get a bowl of Birchermuesli (or Greek yogurt, honey and seeds as we had), a soft boiled egg and the most delicious “Russian Zopf” – a delicious cake with candied fruits – and totally amazing!
In addition you can have as many coffees or hot drinks as you wish and a delicious freshly squeezed juice.
Service was extremely friendly and efficient and our Sunday Brunch was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. So why not book your next brunch in the beautiful village of Herrliberg – it’s definitely worth a trip out from Zurich!

Various options available – for example you can add a glass of prosecco for CHF 5, or a cake for CHF 3, or salmon or roasted beef for CHF 10. Something for every taste!
