Spice Village Take Away and Home Delivery
As “dining in” becomes the new version of restaurant visiting, here is another great restaurant which offers both Take Away and Home Delivery services. Spice Village Männedorf opened a couple of years or so ago serving a selection of Indian food, but since the new Corona regulations it has had to shut its restaurant doors. Luckily though they are continuing to make their delicious curries and we had one of their take aways the other evening.
We began with a starter of Pecoras which were crispy and delicious…
…and a lovely fresh and fruity mango and papaya salad.
The main courses of Chiken Tikka and Lamb Vindaloo were well cooked and very good. However, for our tastebuds, having lived in London for a long time, we could have asked for the Vindaloo to have been a little spicier. However, we do like things quite hot – so this again is all down to personal preference – but if you ask them to make it spicier they will do so!
We enjoyed the Chicken Tikka and the Lamb Curry with a side dish of Lentil Daal and both rice and special fried rice and we washed it all down with a delicious Mango Lassi which was so good! We had also had the garlic Naan bread and the Cheese Naan and they were both really tasty – but beware they are very filling! 🙂
