This winter, Zurich’s Lake Side Restaurant terrace is being transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland. From 1st November 2025 to 28th February 2026, you can enjoy a truly unique dining experience as Gondola Island brings authentic, heated ski gondolas in cosy chalet style right to the lakeshore.
Imagine tucking into a creamy fondue while gazing across Lake Zurich — all from the comfort of your own private, beautifully decorated gondola. Each gondola accommodates 4 to 8 guests, making it perfect for an evening with friends, a festive family gathering, or a memorable company dinner.
Fondue with a Lake View
On the menu are three delicious fondue varieties:
• Classic Nature Fondue – the timeless Swiss favourite.
• Champagne Fondue – a decadent twist for a touch of luxury.
• Truffle Fondue – rich, aromatic, and indulgent.
Each comes with creative side dishes including sweet potato gnocchi, baked mushrooms and crispy “Fire Balls” for an extra treat.
A Feast of Light and Atmosphere with LILU Lights
Adding to the magic, the terrace will be illuminated by an artistic light installation created by the renowned LILU Light Festival Lucerne team, infusing the entire space with a warm, enchanting glow. With the combination of alpine charm, lakeside ambience and stunning lighting effects, Gondola Island promises one of Zurich’s most atmospheric dining experiences this winter.

Each gondola can be booked for one of two evening sittings:
- 18:00 – 20:30
- 20:45 – 23:30
Prices start from CHF 35 per person, depending on the fondue selection.
