Miss Miu Zurich –
Korean Cuisine in A Funky Ambiance
If you’re a fan of Korean Cuisine you will be delighted to know that in Europaallee you can find the largest Korean restaurant in Zurich. The eclectic Miss Miu seats up to 150 people with space for 80 more on the terrace in good weather. Opened in June 2019, Miss Miu is decorated in a quirky, burlesque style with lots of paintings, pictures and coloured lights adorning the interior and it exudes a really fun vibe.
For Korean BBQ afficionados, you will be pleased to know that it also has a BBQ room equipped with little grills integrated into the tables. In the evenings they serve delicious Korean BBQ dishes (Busan Urban Beach Buzz comes highly recommended) at the large tables which are ideal for big groups.
Miss Miu offers a whole range of Korean specialities such as Korean Fried Chicken, the Korean BBQ, Bibimbap and Korean Sushi. We began by sharing homemade Dim Sum, Korean Mandus and Edamame. This was followed by main courses of Goschujang glazed chicken, Korean Fried chicken with chips and a selection of sauces, Bimbam chicken with a selection of vegetables and rice and a chicken Bulgogi.
We all ended up choosing chicken dishes – but there is plenty of choice with beef, pork and vegetarian and vegan dishes, and of course there is also the Korean BBQ.
To wash it all down there is a selection of wine, cocktails, Asian beer as well as homemade drinks too. Our group enjoyed Singha beer and Naia, a very nice Spanish white wine with the food.
Vegetarian / Vegan Options
Miss Miu also serves a number of vegan options including fried cauliflower, Asparagus in tempura and Tonkatsu pumpkin schnitzel with cabbage, Korean coleslaw, Katsu sauce & rice.
Korean Shaved Ice Cream
To finish our meal we had delicious Korean shaved Ice cream! It’s a lovely dessert and a perfect way to finish off your meal.
Korean Take Away
In addition to dining in the restaurant, Miss Miu also offers a take away menu and in an environmentally friendly move you can even order online and collect using your own crockery.
Smiley Happy Service
Last but not least, everyone who served us from the moment we walked through the door greeted us with smiles and were very friendly and helpful. They even went to the trouble of fetching the take away menu to show us what some dishes looked like. However, the night we were there was over the Christmas period and the service was not as fast as we would have wished for and our starters did not all arrive at the same time.
I’m sure this was an oversight due to the restaurant being extremely busy and it didn’t detract from our enjoyment of this great new addition to the Asian scene in Zurich. So if you fancy eating Korean food in a wonderful, fun and vibrant location, why not take a trip to Miss Miu?
