Nori Hand Roll Sushi Summer Pop Up: The Counter Zurich

I’ve just discovered a fabulous new summer pop in Zurich – Nori Hand Roll Sushi at The Counter at Zurich HB. It’s located right next to Brasserie Süd, so it really couldn’t be more central! It’s perfect for a quick and delicious lunch or a romantic evening date – and the food, flavour and presentation is fabulous.

The Counter is normally helmed by 18 GaultMillau-point, two-Michelin-star chef Mitja Birlo but for the summer it has been transformed into a Japanese-inspired pop-up. Nenad Mlinarevic and his team are preparing beautifully crisp nori seaweed rolls filled with sushi rice and premium ingredients beef tartare, chicken, fish, belly pork and fresh vegetables.

The menu is available for dine-in, take-away, or even delivery via Just Eat, making it a versatile choice whether you want to enjoy it at the restaurant, eat it in the park, or savour it by the lake. We tried a wonderful selection for lunch and it was all really delcious! It’s light, refreshing and ideal for a summer’s day. My favourite were the do-it-yourself hand rolls but everything was so yummy I definitely want to go back!

If you’re in Zurich this summer, this is one pop-up not to miss!
