Looking for one of Zurich’s most spectacular summer dining experiences? From 18th July to 16th August 2026, the popular Sea Grill returns to the beautiful first-floor terrace of the Lake Side Restaurant, offering delicious grilled specialities, breathtaking views across Lake Zurich towards the Alps and one of the city’s most atmospheric outdoor dining settings.
Situated at Zurichhorn, it’s also the perfect place to enjoy dinner before or after a film at the nearby Allianz Open Air Cinema, making it an ideal summer evening out.
Freshly Grilled Specialities with Stunning Lake Views
At the heart of the Sea Grill is a live grilling station where premium meat, fish and vegetarian specialities are freshly prepared to order and served à la carte. You can choose from a tempting selection of starters, expertly grilled main courses, seasonal side dishes and delicious desserts while enjoying panoramic views over Lake Zurich.
As the evening progresses and the sun sets behind the Uetliberg, the terrace is bathed in warm golden light and if you’re lucky you can get one of the best sunset views in the city. The combination of exceptional barbecue, spectacular scenery and relaxed summer atmosphere has made the Sea Grill a favourite seasonal pop-up for both locals and visitors alike.
Great Whatever the Weather
One of the best things about the Sea Grill is that you don’t need to worry if the weather changes. Should rain be forecast, the restaurant simply moves indoors to the stylish first-floor foyer, where you can continue enjoying the same menu and welcoming atmosphere in a beautifully designed indoor setting.
Make an Evening of It
One of my favourite ways to enjoy the Sea Grill is to combine it with an evening at Zurichhorn. Arrive a little early and enjoy a stroll along the lakeside promenade before settling onto the terrace for dinner while watching the sun set over the lake. Afterwards, head next door to the Allianz Open Air Cinema ( make sure to book ahead!) for a film under the stars. It really is one of the best summer evenings you can experience in Zurich.
