If you’re looking for one of the loveliest beach clubs in Switzerland, the Beach Club at HERMITAGE Lake Lucerne should definitely be on your summer bucket list. I stayed at the HERMITAGE Lake Lucerne at the end of June and spent a wonderfully relaxing afternoon at its beautiful Beach Club. Located right on the shores of Lake Lucerne, with spectacular mountain views in every direction, it feels like you’ve escaped to a lakeside resort on the Mediterranean – yet you’re only a short bus ride from Lucerne city centre.
For my visit, I chose the Rosé Day Bed Package, which included a reserved day bed together with a chilled bottle of rosé and a choice of snacks – the perfect way to while away a sunny summer afternoon. The Beach Club also offers a variety of other day bed packages, making it ideal whether you’re celebrating with friends, enjoying a romantic day together or simply treating yourself to a little luxury by the lake.
Of course, you don’t need to reserve a day bed to enjoy this fantastic location! The Beach Club welcomes everyone who simply wants to enjoy lunch, an aperitif, dinner or drinks by the water. The menu features delicious bites, refreshing cocktails, fine wines and summer dishes, all served on the lakeside terrace overlooking Lake Lucerne. It’s perfect for meeting friends after work, enjoying a relaxed date night or going somewhere special to spend a sunny afternoon. It’s a relaxing little oasis and so easy to get to from Zurich by car or public transport.
If you feel like cooling off, you can take a refreshing swim in the clear waters of Lake Lucerne or maybe go for a paddle on one of the SUPs or on a canoe? The atmosphere is relaxed, stylish and unpretentious, making it equally suitable for couples, groups of friends or anyone looking for a peaceful escape. In fact it’s a great place for a mother daughter outing or for a day out with one of your besties.
One of the things I loved most was that you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy the Beach Club. It’s open to both hotel guests and visitors, making it a real summer gem!
If you’re planning a summer day trip from Zurich, visiting Lucerne, or simply searching for one of the best beach clubs in Switzerland, I’d definitely recommend adding the Beach Club at HERMITAGE Lake Lucerne to your list.

The Beach Club is easily reached by public transport and is just a short ride on Bus 24 from Lucerne railway station ( the stop is directly opposite the hotel entrance).
