New Skin Cream Range in Zurich from Lierac
Beauty in Zurich
Before Christmas I was invited to a skincare event at Dr Liz Kraemer’s dermatology clinic in Zurich to find out about a new product launch by the French skincare company Lierac in Switzerland.
Lierac French Beauty Brand
Lierac is a French beauty brand which was founded in 1975 and which uses top quality natural ingredients along with the latest scientific research to creative innovative skin products aimed at reducing the the effect of skin damage and reduce the signs of ageing skin. These products are new and give a “detox” effect to help revitalise tired skin and will be available in Switzerland from the end of January 2017. The Magnificence product range is aimed at 40+ skin.
Dr Liv Kraemer’s Talk
Dr Liv Kraemer gave us a presentation along with two of the representatives from Lierac, about Glycoxidation which is one of the key phenomena responsible for creating wrinkles, loss of skin radiance and firmness which leads to a decline in skin quality.
During the glycoxidation process, harmful glucose and free radicals attack collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the youthful and beautiful appearance of the skin and apparently glycoxidation is responsible for over 70% of the skin’s ageing. However, Dr Kraemer also talked about the dangers to the skin from poor diet, excessive alcohol, smoking and sunshine too and how these should be addressed in addition to using the best skin creams for our faces.
Lierac Magnificence Skin Care Range
Next we were introduced to two of the products from the new range – the star product which is the Lierac Magnificence Serum Rouge and the Magnificence Night Cream. Both products contain D-Glycox Complex which Lierac had created after being inspired by medical research into diabetes.
Lierac Magnificence Serum Rouge
The serum should be used together with a regular moisturizer (Lierac advise their matching Magnificence Day Cream) but it can also be used with your favourite day cream and in fact you do get a nice radiance thanks to the slightly pink colour which leaves a lovely healthy glow. It is also recommended to use it at night time too.
I must say having tested it for a few weeks now I really do loved this serum. It is easy to apply, the red colour is unusual but somehow seems to work and it does seem to give a visible dash of radiance when applied.
Lierac Magnificence Crème Nuit
The night cream contains 3.5% D-Glyox Complex concentrate, hyaluronic acid and it is also enriched with a detox-sleeping concentrate, to help regenerate the skin whilst you sleep. It is easy to apply and has a lovely feel to it. It also melts easily into the skin and a little seems to go a long way.
According to the results of a clinical study of 4 weeks of the serum and cream, the 55 testers reported an improvement in their skin with a more youthful appearance, more radiance and up to 40% fewer visible wrinkles.
