Aeroccino 4 Milk Frother

Nespresso milk frother - Mother Day Idea

If like me you love cappuccinos and lattes, then Nespresso’s latest milk frother, the Aeroccino 4, is a definite “must have” for creating great milk coffees in the comfort of your own home. Not only is is quick and easy to make your perfect coffee – but a lot cheaper than always buying in a café.

There are 3 parts to the machine – the jug, the spindle (which is used to make all 4 varieties of milk) and the base station.

It’s very simple to use. You simply pop the magnetic spindle in the middle of the jug, put it on the base and plug it in! There are two different levels marked on the inside of the jug so that you know the maximum amount of milk to put in.

There are 4 different programs and you simply press the corresponding button for your particular choice. You press once and all the lights appear and then you press your choice of setting once more for the whisking or foaming to start.

Cold Whisked Milk

The first button on the left is for cold whisked milk. It is easy to know what it’s for because as soon as you press it, it turns blue. It produces cold whisked milk with a very fine foam, suitable for shakes and iced coffee.

Hot Milk

The second button from the left is for hot milk. When you click on it it turns red it produces hot milk which is lightly frothed – perfect for your morning “café au lait”.

Hot Foamed Milk

The third button from the left produces hot milk with a good froth – but the foam is not as thick as button 4.

Hot Thick Foamed Milk

The fourth button produces very foamy hot milk which is ideal for the perfect cappuccino. In fact, if you are more artistic that me, (which I bet you are), I’m sure you can actually make some really good “latte art” with all this foam!

Dishwasher Proof

Do you know the best thing though? Once you’ve finished, all you do is either rinse it thoroughly with hot water and dry it with a tea towel – or simply pop the whole jug (minus the power base!!!!) into the dishwasher. Don’t forget to take the whisking spindle out from the middle of the jug before you do this!

Review of Nespresso Aeroccino 4 Milk Frother

I absolutely love this accessory! Since I’ve had it I’ve used it multiple times every single day. I previously bought myself the original Nespresso milk frother a few years ago. It was good, but this one is a definite improvement. The fact that there is only one spindle for all settings is far more practical and the handle makes it easier to pour. Plus I really like the shiny chrome finish and the non-stick interior seems to be more robust too. However, as always, avoid using metal spoons etc on the non-stick parts of the jug. Another tip for producing the best foam, is to always use chilled milk.

The Aeroccino 4 makes a perfect gift for yourself or family or friends. It retails at approximately CHF 95 and you can by it at any Nespresso Boutique or via Nespresspo’s online store. Find out more about this great coffee accessory here.
