Slow Age Day Cream by Vichy
Coolbrandz were running a campaign for Vichy recently and asked me if I would like to test out Vichy’s latest day cream called Slow Âge. Billed as an anti-aging cream to fight wrinkles I thought why not?
According to the information Slow Âge uses the extract of the golden roots of a flower from China called Baïcalin, a powerful antioxidant which apparently helps to protect our skin from the ravages of time and other detrimental effects. The Baïcalin flower is extremely hardy and can withstand excessive UV exposure and extreme cold and as one of the 50 fundamental herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been used for over 2,000 years. Combined with the strengthening probiotic-derived Bifidus and Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water, Slow Âge day cream is produced, aimed at strengthening the skin and combatting the signs of ageing.
Applying the Cream
So what was the cream like to use? Well it was absorbed very quickly and really does leaving your skin feeling hydrated. I liked the perfume of the cream too – it’s quite delicate but very pleasant. One thing I really do like is that it has an inbuilt SPF 25 which for somebody who’s a little bit obsessed by sun damage I think is great. In fact the perfume of the cream is a little reminiscent of a good quality suncream, something which I also quite like.
Well on the third day of using it someone came up to me and told me how good by skin looked and asked me what face cream I used (yes, really! I’m not making this up!). However, I think it was probably due to the fact that I had just come back from holiday and had managed to get some decent sleep for a change – although I’m sure that the Slow Âge had also helped. Certainly I don’t think it produces miracles overnight, definitely not in just three days – but I do really like this face cream and I think it does make your skin look “rested” and slightly pumped up. Having used it for a few weeks I was sorry when it finished and I must admit I recently went out and bought some for myself. That in itself is proof of the pudding!
Slow Âge went on general release in Switzerland from September and you can buy it in all good pharmacies.
