Vintage Chocolate Tram Ride in Zurich with Honold
Every year there is an fabulous treat in store for chocolate lovers all over Zurich as the Honold Schoggi-Tram wends its way through the streets of Zurich for a few wonderful days. Commissioned by Confiserie Honold the tram is a vintage model, beautifully furnished with wooden seats and brass fittings, and on board you get to sample some of Honold’s wonderful chocolate and cake.

So what better way to view the sights of Zurich than from the comfort of a sleek retro tram than with a cup of traditionally made hot chocolate, a beautiful almond cake and a praliné? Taking place in Autumn, the weather is often crisp with a golden glow, making for a wonderful excursion into the city.
The tram takes you on a short 20 minute ride through the centre of Zurich and you get to see lots of famous sights such as St Peter’s Church and the River Limmat, as shown in the photo below.
There are a variety of “themed” tram rides in Zurich but my favourite has got to the Chocolate Tram. However, it is always very popular so if you are’t able to get tickets for the Schoggi Tram but fancy a tram ride with a difference, why not try a Fondue Tram or Apero Tram which are run in Zurich throughout the Winter months. .
